Polly #35 at Antietam

Today I went on a field trip to the Antietam Battlefield with fifth graders.

Here I am hopping on one of the many cannons located on the battlefield.

Here I am in front of the monument for soldiers from Maryland.

This is the bell from U.S.S. Antietam; one of three ships named for Antietam.

It was cool to hop back in the history of this bridge.

I never knew there was a USS Antietam. I’m learning a lot from these stories! I’ll have to look up more.
