Polly #12 in her new home
I have to confess that Candee and I are a little bit nervous as we start to send our little Pollys out into the world to live with their new families. We are anxiously waiting to hear how things are going and I’m excited to say that I heard from Polly #12 today.
She is doing well and appears to enjoy her new home in Pennsylvania. Her new family are Penn State Fans and it looks like she’s going to have some visits to State College in her future.
As you can see from one of the pictures, they have a cat and she’s really excited about the fact that they have horses and is anxious to meet them.

Following is the note that Polly #12 sent:
Well I arrived safe and sound at my new home in Dillsburg, PA. Jeff & Kristi are very nice and I’m sure I will fit in very well.
Even though it is a few days after Christmas they showed me the Christmas spirit. They have lots of animals around and I already made a few new friends. It was too cold to visit the barn so I will have to wait until it warms up before I meet the horses.
This evening they taught me about Penn State University, all their sports teams and the Nittany Lion. I’m real excited to visit State College and see the Nittany Lion Shrine and maybe get my photo with Mr. Paterno, or at least his statue. Mr. Paterno is the coach of the football team and they get to go play football in Florida in a few days.
That’s all for now. I’ve attached a few pictures of my first day.

I’m happy to hear that you are settling into your new home with Jeff and Kristi.
You’ll love going up to see the Penn State Games! I’m looking forward to seeing a picture of you in front of JoePa’s statue!

Congratulations Polly #12 on your new home!! I have been to Dillsburg, PA once in college for a very unique celebration: the pickle drop. My roommates and I decided to take a road trip on New Year’s Eve and we ended up in Dillsburg for the pickle drop. Rather interesting!!! We all got Heinz pickle pins to wear and everyone was eating everything pickle. You would fit right into that celebration being green and all. I would assume this is an annual celebration, so if your not busy tomorrow evening, I would have your new “parents” take you out to the town square and celebrate your new home in proper Dillsburg fashion. Best wishes on your new adventures! 🙂
