Camp David, named after President Eisenhower’s grandson David, is the country retreat for the President of the United States. Located in Frederick County, Maryland, which is a short distance from the White House, but a world away when it comes to tranquility. Camp David is used to host foreign dignitaries and many famous people, and the president’s family uses it when they just need to get away from the hub-bub of Washington, D.C.
I was given a special tour of Camp David, and I must say it was fantastic. Unfortunately, we were not allowed to take pictures other than at the famous sign because of security reasons. Even without the pictures, it was an amazing opportunity…I feel like a very special frog indeed! I spend many a day daydreaming about going back to Camp David in the arms of Malia or Sasha!

When you were on your tour, was the President there? That would have been exciting to meet him or his family, and I bet his daughters would have loved you!

I wasn’t on an organized tour…I went with someone that works there. It was a great experience, but unfortunately the president and his family weren’t there the day that I was!
