It was a very hot day in Doha – Shane told me it was 50 degrees Celsius or 122 degrees Fahrenheit. It was uncomfortable to be outside, so we visited the Museum of Islamic Art, it was cool inside. There were many items, some more than 1000 years old.
I liked the brass objects and scientific equipment the best. I learned many things, and saw something called calligraphy – it makes words look very beautiful. Arabic has flexible ways to write letters, so it is easy to use calligraphy with them.

Wow-that’s hot! I don’t blame you for heading inside. I love the way the museum looks from the outside…cool lines against a blue sky.
