Polly in Madrid
It’s easy to submit your story. Once you have purchased and received your very own Polly the Travel Frog, we want to hear from you! Don’t forget to take lots of pictures of Polly doing what she loves best~traveling the world, meeting interesting people, and learning new things. Every time you take her someplace new, come back and post again.
Things to Keep In Mind:
~Stories can be written from Polly’s viewpoint or yours
~Your submission must be “Family & Kid Friendly”
~Only submit photos that are suitable for all audiences.
~Think outside the box! Traveling is traveling. You don’t have to go to Nepal (although Polly would love it) to get into the “Polly Spirit”. You could also show off your hometown, share your hobbies and holiday celebrations, or take Polly to work or your favorite restaurant. The possibilities are endless!
~Remember that activities that might feel commonplace to you will be captivating to a child living someplace else. A trip to the grocery store can definitely be interesting!
~Polly is a friendly frog and she always likes to meet new people. Do you know the mayor of your town? A famous celebrity or athlete? How about a published author? Introduce Polly to as many people as you can!
~Don’t forget to include famous landmarks in your pictures whenever possible. Polly would love to see (hint,hint)…the Eiffel Tower, the Statue of Liberty, Mount Rushmore, the Taj Mahal, the Acropolis, Mount Fuji, the Cologne Cathedral, the Sydney Opera House, and the Giza Pyramid.(Just to name a few!)
~I’m sure you’ve heard the expression, “A picture is worth a thousand words.” Although it’s true, don’t forget to include a fantastic story with lots of details and humor. Also, make sure to include how people reacted to Polly when she traveled with you.
