All About Me:
This is a picture of me playing at a friend’s house. I love being outdoors!”
Hi, I’m a frog and my name is Polly the Travel Frog.
If you’re like most people, you probably know a little bit about frogs already. Frogs are amphibians; which means we’re cold-blooded vertebrate animals. Amphibians are different from reptiles because we don’t have scales and we usually return to water to breed.
Some of the more common characteristics of frogs are bulging eyes, long webbed back feet that enable us to leap and swim better, smooth or slimy skin, and laying eggs in clusters. Frogs can vary in color from green to brown, and there are even albino frogs. (I’m the lovely green variety!)
Well, now that we have all of that out of the way, I’m going to let you in on a little known fact about frogs—frogs love to TRAVEL! This might come as a bit of a surprise to you but there are actually a lot of Travel Frogs around the world. You never know when one of us might leap into your next travel tour, classroom, or even show up at a family picnic. We like to be wherever there are interesting people, exciting places to visit, and new things to learn.

I hope you don’t think I’m bragging but I’ve been invited to visit the cockpits of several of the planes I’ve flown on.
All the pilots and flight attendants were so nice and seemed to feel honored by having a real life Travel Frog on their planes. One time I even got the chance to wear the pilot’s hat! (It was heavy but I wore it proudly.)
It doesn’t matter where I go on my trips because I enjoy going almost anywhere at all.
“People Watching” has become of my favorite pastimes and there’s nothing I love better than sipping a cup of cappuccino at a sidewalk café while watching the people walk by.
This is a picture of me in front of Buckingham Palace. Do you think the queen would be interested in meeting a frog like me? I’d even settle for the chance to meet a princess. No joking…I would love to meet a princess! Wouldn’t you?
If you see two amazing women with a camera and a frog, it might just be your lucky day. I enjoy having my photo taken with anyone that wants to be in the picture—so don’t be shy!
Oh, I almost forgot…In addition to traveling the world, I love telling jokes—especially frog jokes. Would you like to hear one?
Travel Frog Joke #1:
What did the frog dress up as on Halloween?
~A prince.~
Okay, all joking aside. I guess it would be a good time to introduce you to Candee and Debbie. I travel everywhere with them, and they’re like family to me.
I guess you know all about me now, but if there’s anything else that you would like to ask about, please send me a message on my Contact Me page. I’d love to hear from you!
