This place is so big, that it's hard to fit it all into one picture!

The Palace of Versailles, or simply Versailles, is a royal chateau in Versailles in the Île-de-France region of France, and contains both contemporary and French Baroque architecture. According to Wikipedia: The court of Versailles was the center of political power in France from 1682, when Louis XIV moved from Paris, until the royal family was forced to return to the capital in October 1789 after the beginning of the French Revolution. Versailles is therefore famous not only as a building, but as a symbol of the system of absolute monarchy of the Ancien Regime.

I can't believe how fancy the rooms were in this place!

It's all about the angles!

Entering the Hall of Mirrors

There were so many mirrors in this room that it was hard to count them all!

A bed fit for a Queen!

There were so many pretty flowers, and I wanted to see them all!

Thank goodness I don't have to do the weeding here!

What an amazing place to visit!

Even though it was a chilly, overcast day, I still had a great time and enjoyed my visit to Versaille

  1. Nice pictures! Was Polly tempted to take a nap on the Queen’s bed?

  2. The bed did look awfully tempting! Unfortunately, I don’t think the staff at Versailles would have looked to kindly upon an attempt to try out a royal bed, even by a Princess Frog like me!
