I think I want one of each!

When Polly was in Italy recently, she saw lots of wonderful sights including the Coliseum, the Vatican, and the Duomo. In between tours and sightseeing, she enjoyed wandering around and checking things out, whether it was in a small town or a big city.

Some of the meringues were as big as me!

Something that always caught her eye were the Italian bakeries, she couldn’t resist stopping and checking out the wares in the windows. She was amazed at all the delicious looking baked goods, and always had a hard time resisting the urge to stop.  It was always hard trying to decide which delicious goodie to try!

How can I choose?

Huge meringues!

I feel like hopping right into the case and helping myself!

Please, I need some help over here!

Now that's what I call a bakery!

  1. You won’t find any of this stuff in a Little Debbie box!

  2. Wow! I don’t typically crave sweets, but I think I would become a sugar addict if I lived in Italy. Everything looks wonderful!

    Dear Polly #2,
Everything looks so yummy and delicious! We want to try it all. We bet it was good. What kinds of treats were there? Could you please send us some? Were the doughnuts good? We would like to try every single thing in the bakery. Next time you go, bring us with you!

  4. Dear class,

Everything in the bakery looked delicious, and there were so many things to choose from. There were cookies, pies, and cakes, as well as huge meringues and other goodies. I would have liked to try every single thing in the bakeries too! Wouldn’t it be fun to just take a bakery tour sometime?

  6. Everything in the bakeries looked very good, but I didn’t have time to try everything. Maybe the next time I’m there I will!

  7. Dear Polly #2,
    What flavors are there?
