Polly was driven in a rental car from Prague which is located in Czech Republic to Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia.  She spent an enjoyable day & night there and after wards moved on to spend a week in Hungary.

Polly is just below St. Michael's Gate, sitting by the 'kilometer zero' plaque, which shows how far it is to various cities around the world.

This statue is called 'Paparazzo' and Polly couldn't resist spying also.

Polly with a statue of Hans Christian Andersen, who described Bratislava as the 'most beautiful city in Europe.'

Here I am with a street performer, who was mimicking the statue named 'Cumil' or 'The Peeper.'

A statue called 'Cumil' or 'The Peeper,' which is very low to the ground in Bratislava.

A statue of an eccentric man named Schoner Naci, who lived in Bratislava until the 1960s.

  1. Great pictures! These travel frogs really get around!

  2. I’m not sure if I’d trust that Cumil the Peeper guy. He looks like he’s up to something.

  3. Seeing the street performer in your post reminds me of the street performers that I saw when I was visiting Madrid. I remember two in particular that had covered themselves in mud and they didn’t move a muscle, and sometimes they were able to stay so still that I had to remind myself that they really weren’t statues! Great post!

  4. Oh, I almost forgot….Congratulations! You are the first one to submit a post from Slovakia!

  5. You saw some really interesting things on your trip, and I can’t wait to hear more about it, and see more pictures!
