North Carolina

Polly and Dinah at the visitor center

This weekend was such a great weekend. I got to hang out with Dinah and her family as we traveled to Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina.

Once we arrived in the state, we stopped by the visitor’s center where there was this cool map of North Carolina and traveler’s guides with information about North Carolina. Man it was so cool!

Which pair do you like?

We dropped in to visit Dinah’s cousins who were also visiting from Raleigh, NC. We had fun playing basketball and making dirt cakes. Then we went to Red Lobster for dinner where I had one of my favorites: Cheese Biscuits with flies.

Mmmm, I love fly biscuits!

At the end of the day, we all camped out at Aunt Connie’s for the night. We watched movies and played games until Dinah’s mom sent us to bed.

I was really enjoying myself with my new friends but it was time to go back to West Virginia so Dinah and I could get ready for school the next day. I had some much fun that I slept the entire 4-hour drive back to West Virginia. Boy I can’t wait to visit North Carolina again! Thank you Dinah for showing me such a great time!

Good Night! Thanks, Dinah...I had so much fun with you today!

  2. Dinah,
It sounds like you and Polly had a great time in North Carolina. Polly is so lucky to get to visit so many different places. I love the biscuits at Red Lobster too, but not with flies!

Dinah, I really loved reading about your weekend adventure with Polly the Travel Frog. It looks like you two had a great time in Roanoke Rapids. Next time bring him on an adventure to Raleigh, NC and I will show you both around our state capital.
