Dalat is in the highlands in southern Vietnam. It is much cooler there compared to the rest of Vietnam, and is mostly full of farming communities, where people grow everything from tea to strawberries and corn. We met a group of guys with a motorcycle club that offered tours around Dalat and through Vietnam. We decided to take a three day tour into the back country of Vietnam before heading for the coastal town of Nha Trang. Kristy and Polly shared a motorbike, and our driver packed all of our bags onto the back of the bike. We saw a lot of different things and some very unique scenery. It was a great three day trip!

Polly and Kristy on a test drive with their driver.

Here is Polly with some silk worms. We stopped at a factory where they processed silk, from cocoon to cloth. Silk is actually made from the cocoon of a silk worm.

Here is Polly in front of one of the machines that process the silk from thread to cloth.

Some of the rolling hills we passed on our way to the coast.

This is a Vietnamese traditional pancake, otherwise known as Banh Xeo. They were tasty savory snacks that we had for lunch one day!
